By ordering from Mrs B’s Cakes & Bakes and paying your deposit to secure our services you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions and are legally bound by them.
PAYMENT AND DEPOSIT
For single tier cakes we require a £20 non-refundable deposit to confirm an order with the remaining final balance due upon collection.
For multi-tiered cakes, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm an order and hold the date. For multi-tiered cakes the remaining final balance is due 4 weeks before the agreed fulfilment date. Final design details must be confirmed by this date, any changes to the design made after this point may incur extra fees.
Full Payment may be made at the time of booking.
Failure to complete payment as detailed before the above date schedules may result in your order being cancelled. By making a payment, you are accepting the Terms and Conditions as detailed on this page.
We accept bank transfers, cash or Paypal as forms of payment.
REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
Deposits are non-refundable however they may be transferable at the discretion of the owner.
Full payments made less than 4 weeks in advance of the fulfilment date are non-refundable. Full payments made more than 4 weeks in advance of the fulfilment date are subject to a cancellation fee equal to your deposit. We cannot refund the cost of any orders cancelled with less than 4 weeks notice.
In the very unlikely event that we have to cancel your order for any reason we will give you as much notice as possible and try to find a suitable alternative. If you do not wish to accept our suggested alternative, then we will refund the full amount.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
The images on the website and Facebook Page are all Mrs B’s Cakes & Bakes own work and examples of our cakes that we have previously produced. All our products are handmade (unless otherwise stated) and can be ordered in different sizes.
All cakes are bespoke based on information and/or images provided by the customer. Please note that I reserve the right to undertake artistic license and it may be necessary to alter elements of a design
PRICE QUOTATIONS
All written price quotations are valid for 14 days from the date of quotation, to secure this price you must pay your deposit as detailed above. We reserve the right to alter our prices at any time.
NON-EDIBLE INGREDIENTS AND DECORATIONS
Our cakes may contain non-edible ingredients or decorations, such as plastic or wooden dowels in tiered cakes or wires in some sugar flowers. Where these are present, you will be advised.
ALLERGIES AND SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee our cakes are nut-free. We use ingredients containing nuts in our kitchen.
Some of our cakes can be made with no gluten-containing ingredients upon request. Due to new food labelling requirements we are no longer able to use the phrase 'Gluten Free'. However, please be assured that every possible step is taken to eliminate any cross contamination.
All equipment is additionally and thoroughly cleaned before we bake any special diet cakes but we do handle gluten in our kitchen on a daily basis.
Dairy Free -We will happily make any of our cakes dairy free by using alternatives in lieu of butter and milk.
Vegan – We will happily make any of our cakes with no dairy, eggs or animal products and will use alternatives in lieu of these products.
CROSS-CONTAMINATION FOLLOWING COLLECTION/DELIVERY
Cross contamination may occur if our cakes come into direct contact with food products containing wheat/gluten, eggs or dairy if they are subsequently handled with utensils or placed on surfaces previously used for food containing the avoided ingredients without sufficient cleaning. Mrs B’s Cakes & Bakes cannot accept any responsibility for this.
COLLECTION
If the cake or products are collected from us we cannot be held liable for any damages to the cake or products once they have left our premises.
The collection vehicle should have a flat surface and be clean and free from clutter which could cause damage. This is the responsibility of you, the customer. The cake or products can be very fragile so we advise to drive slowly avoiding sharp acceleration/braking.
DELIVERY
Cakes can be delivered for a fee. Please contact us to quote a delivery fee to your address or venue

All personal details, telephone numbers, email addresses, allergies will be held by us in accordance with the GDPR and DPA requirements
